About

A bookshop in Pagrati, since 2014.

About 9,800 titles, which is small. Every one of them is here because a bookseller argued for it.

We opened on Ymittou street in the spring of 2014 with four thousand books and a card reader that did not work for the first week. The shop has roughly doubled its stock since and has not changed its principle: we do not take payment for placement, and we do not stock by algorithm.

There are five of us. Between us we cover Greek literature, philosophy, poetry, translation and the children’s room, and we disagree publicly and often about all five.
